Wishlist for Wildlife: Every Item Makes a Difference

We understand that sometimes people would like to help in other ways

While financial contributions are always appreciated and vital to supporting the treatment of our precious wildlife, we understand that some individuals and businesses may prefer to assist through in-kind support. To help facilitate this, we have compiled a wishlist of essential equipment required to continue delivering the high standard of care and rehabilitation our animals depend on.

Physical Donations

We were grateful to receive generous wishlist donations from Coral and Corey Loader. Their continued support of the Hospital and wildlife shelters following this year’s devastating bushfires, including one that occurred near their own property, has been truly remarkable. In addition to collecting cans, they ran a market stall to raise funds for a much-needed item from our wishlist. Their kindness and initiative are deeply appreciated. Coral and Corey have also played an active role in wildlife monitoring and recovery efforts post-fire, and were instrumental in the rescue and successful release of Aibell the echidna and Drew the ringtail possum. Corey even crafted a custom release box to support Drew’s rehabilitation following burn treatment. For more details on Aibell and Drew, see our blog post: https://ballaratwildlifehospital.org.au/diary-1/f/buninyong-bushfires
